Williams shot a final round 74 and took the title on three-over-par 219.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIt was a historic win for Williams, who is now the first golfer in South African history to hold the senior national titles on the amateur and pro circuit at the same time. Before taking the title Williams had this to say, <i>\u201cTo hold both the SA Senior Open and SA Senior Stroke Play title would be something incredibly special, so that is definitely on my mind.\u201d<\/i><br \/>\n<br \/>\nWilliams is the reigning SA Senior Open champion and he has been splitting his time between the mid-amateur and senior circuits, where he is enjoying huge success since returning two years ago.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<i>\u201cThis is a pretty special achievement and it means the world to me, especially after the way I had to fight to get the job done,\u201d <\/i>said Williams.<i> \u201cI really, really wanted to win this one.
