INCIDENT:

 

Vehicle breakdown in Riviera, Pretoria – roadside protection required

 

A client contacted the RESQ1 call centre at 01:35 in the morning. He had run out of fuel and his cell phone battery was about to go flat.

 

The closest team to this particular incident was out on another call, so another team was dispatched. Conditions weren’t great – it was dark and the stormy weather made for poor visibility. Nevertheless, the RESQ1 response team braved the storm to locate the stranded client. Upon arrival, the client was visibly worried about his own safety as the area was unsafe and not very well lit.

 

A few moments later, having been informed by the RESQ1 agent about the fuel requirement, the roadside assistance team arrived on the scene with fuel in tow.

 

TIME TO REACH CLIENT:

 

35 minutes

 

OUTCOME:

 

The client was safe and secure and was also able to replenish his fuel

Always check your fuel level before departing on your journey
