One of the enterprise development projects supported by Indwe Risk Services is Basani Foods, a Midrand-based food vendor. Owner, Basani Nyambi runs a sidewalk trailer food vendor just outside Midrand Office Park.

Indwe got involved approximately a year ago when it sponsored equipment for the business. Stratitude, Indwe’s marketing agency, developed a logo for the business and a local panel shop, Andre’s Panel & Paint assisted by registering a trailer for Basani foods.

Unfortunately, the past year’s adverse weather conditions took its toll on Basani Foods’ gazebo and other equipment. Indwe sponsored a gazebo, stove and trailer so that Basani Foods could continue to provide lunches and snacks to the surrounding businesses.

Indwe’s Midrand-based sales call centre team delivered the new gazebo, chairs and a folding table to Basani Foods. Pictured here is the team assisting with the erection of the gazebo.

The next phase of the project is to assist Basani to obtain her driver’s license so that she can transport her trailer to and from the site.

“At Indwe we believe that enterprise development starts with small projects that will make a big difference. Our support of Basani Foods is an example of our commitment to assist small businesses to get off the ground,” says Joe Szemerei.
